MainStreet Director presents at Nebraska Housing Conference in Lincoln

MainStreet Director, Leslie Carter, presented at the 2007 Nebraska Housing Conference on Tuesday, August 7.  Leslie shared information about the MainStreet program and many of the successes the program has experienced during its existence in Fremont.  She used this opportunity to promote the Fremont MainStreet program and the vital role it plays in the community.

Stop by the Downtown Farmers Market at its new location at 8th & Main Streets on Thursday afternoon between 3:30 - 5:30 p.m.  The market will continue through October 25th.

MainStreet Bets & Wins!

You didn't have to be a winner to have fun at the tournament.  The first ever MainStreet Texas Hold'em Tournament on June 29th at the Outpost Grille at Holiday Lodge was a great success with 20 of the best poker players in the area.  MainStreet plans to have another Texas Hold'em Tournament in January 2008!

Downtown's Crazy for a Deal!

The deals were CRAZY during the Downtown Crazy Days Sidewalk Sale On July 28th!  The streets were full of great deals on merchandise, activities and shoppers during Crazy Days.  There was clothing, shoes, jewelry, party supplies, home accessories and furniture all at great prices in the middle of the street on 6th and Main Streets.  From 9 to 11 am, MainStreet of Fremont sponsored Children's Safety Activities with a bicycle safety course provided by Michelle Mathison State Farm Insurance, a 911 Simulated Calling Center provided by the Fremont Police Department, Carseat Safety Information and Ambulance on display provided by Heartland EMS and fire safety information and firetrucks on display provided by the Fremont Fire Department, and free balloons and water provided by MainStreet.  A new addition to the activities this year was the community rummage sale on Main Street.  With over 10 vendors, there was a great variety of items to choose from!  It was a great day for Downtown Fremont!
