Phase I of the MainStreet of Fremont Historic Lighting Project is complete!
"MainStreet receives funds for Phase II of the Downtown Lighting Project"
MainStreet of Fremont continues to seek out funding to continue the historic lighting project. In the past few months, MainStreet has been awarded the following grants for the project: $50,000 from Transportation Enhancement Funds from the Nebraska Department of Roads, $25,000 from City of Fremont Matching Keno Funds, $20,000 from Fremont Area Community Foundation, 50,000 form Hazel Keene Donor Advised Fund. Phase Ii of the project consisting of Main Street between 5th to 1st Street is set to begin in Spring 2008. All of downtown Fremont will be shining brightly in the near future thanks to the contributing organizations!
This project has been made possible by a $50,000 grant
from the Nebraska Department of Roads Transportation Enhancement Fund matched
with money raised by the MainStreet “Big Fish of the Platte” Community Art
Project.
