The MainStreet Beat
Do you want to know what's happening Downtown? Would you like to learn something helpful to you and your business while getting to know your fellow Downtown business owners? Come to the MainStreet Beat. Beginning this month (March), MainStreet will host a seminar/gathering for all members featuring a speaker each month. The MainStreet Beat will take place on the last Wednesday of each month at 8am. The March MainStreet Beat will be at Rumor Mill. If you would like to host the MainStreet Beat in your business, please contact MainStreet. The TOPIC of the March MainStreet Beat is "Partnering To Advertise /Learn About The DID Co-op Grant". If you might be interested in partnering with other downtown businesses to advertise, you will not want to miss it! Please call 721-2264 if you have questions!

MainStreet Easter Egg Hunt is Just Around the Bunny Trail!
Mark your calendar for the MainStreet Easter Egg Hunt on March 27th at 2 pm in the John C. Fremont Park. MainStreet Businesses: Please use this as a time to promote your business to all of the people who attend the Easter Egg Hunt! We have a huge crowd of people who come to this event just two blocks from the heart of downtown, so don't miss this chance to draw them to your business. You are welcome to pass out flyers/coupons or hang your business banner in the park to promote your business!! Call 721-2264 for more details!

New Christmas Decoration for 2010
Thanks to a $5000 grant from the D.I.D., MainStreet has ordered new Christmas decorations to add to what we have for the next holiday season! These new decorations consist of new candy cane light pole decorations in addition to new lighted garland accented with berry clusters. The new decorations will be a great compliment to what we currently have! Look for them this Winter!

Downtown Balloon Sale in April
MainStreet volunteers will be visiting the downtown businesses soon to let you know about a new sales promotion that is set to take place during April 8- 17 (but businesses have the option of participating for as long or as little time as they would like). Each business will fill the balloon with a discount coupon to be used on purchases made in their store. Stop into Fremont National Bank or the downtown branch of First State Bank to fill your balloons with your discount coupons and helium. We hope to have a large number of businesses participating similar to the benefit of the Crazy Days Sale....the more businesses participating, gives shoppers even more incentive to come downtown to shop! For more information, call 721-2264.

Have a Sale or Promotion Going On?
Please tell us about it! Email or call Leslie with your sale or promo information so that she can email it out to all of the MainStreet members! MainStreet members are people who want to support other MainStreet member businesses....so we need to share this information with them. Other MainStreet members could potentially be some of your best customers! Email leslie at lesliecarter@mainstreetfremont.org or call her at 721-2264! Weekly emails with sales info will be sent weekly to MainStreet members.

MainStreet Reception for Downtown Business & Property Owners
The MainStreet Economic Restructuring Committee will be sponsoring a reception this summer to share information about financial resources such as low interest loans, tax incentives and design assistance with downtown business and property owners who are interested in making improvements to their downtown businesses and facades. More details soon to come!
